Comboni Missionaries in Covina, California, is a residence for elderly, retired Comboni Missionaries and a center for mission promotion and awareness.

Among the many activities at the center, we promote:

Daniel Comboni, our Founder - (1831-1881) - a prophet and a visionary who believed in the African people. His motto was "Saving Africa through the Africans themselves... Africa or Death!"

 

The Society - created to continue the mission of Daniel Comboni. "I die but my work will not die." Today about 4,000 Comboni priests, brothers, and sisters continue the work of Daniel Comboni in 40 countries of North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.

 


Comboni Missionaries in North America arrived in 1939 in Cincinnati Ohio to work with the African Americans and to invite American men and women to become part of the Comboni Family.  Today, the Comboni Missionaries in North America are around 40. We serve 8 communities across the US and Canada:
